Gasparilla Pirate Festival
Speaking of which this coming weekend is Tampa's largest pirate festival, Gasparilla. This pirate festival is an annual tradition in Tampa and is sponsored by the Seminole Hard Rock casino this year.
"Celebrate their capture of the City of Tampa, the Captain and his Krewe share their wealth – glittering beads, treasures and doubloons – with a lively, enthusiastic crowd all along the 3.8-mile parade route."
Schedule:
Time:2:00 p.m. – approx. 5:30 p.m.
Route:The parade begins at Bay to Bay Boulevard and Bayshore Boulevard. It continues along Bayshore Boulevard to Brorein Street, turns east on Brorein Street, then north on Ashley Drive. The parade ends at Cass Street & Ashley Drive.
Viewing:Purchasing reserved bleacher seats is the best way to secure a great viewing spot for this unique parade. There are many locations open to the public along Bayshore Boulevard and in downtown Tampa for viewing the parade.
